Jenny + Alex | San Juan Capistrano Engagement

Happy Friday everyone! Greetings from Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It's been a couple weeks since I last posted, and thinking about it now my last post here I wrote while I was out of town as well ;) I have been blessed this year with amazing clients, including a couple of them who have put their trust on this girl to capture their big day at a fabulous destinations. Jenny and Alex are one of those couples. I met them both through our mutual friend (Hi Lily!) At her sisters wedding last year, Alex was the lucky winner of the garter toss.. let me tell you I have never seen family happier than when this happened. Little did they know that Alex was ready to pop the big questions only a few weeks later. Its been such a great experience to now be able to work with both of them and get to know them more as a couple and future married team!

A few weeks back we took a little trip down to Orange County where we explored the beautiful town of San Juan Capistrano for their engagement session, here are just a a few of my favorites from that day.

Stephanie + Schyler | Joshua Tree Engagement

Happy Friday! with wedding season in full swing, I have yet to be able to catch up with my blogging (one day I will :)) however as Im getting ready today to fly out to New York for this amazing couple's wedding I decided what better time to share with you Stephanie & Schyler's engagement session we did back in November in one of my favorites places -- Joshua Tree National Park! Stephanie & Schyler are full of life and seriously the epitome of an outdoor couple! They love all things outdoors, adventure and exploring so what better place than Joshua Tree to be able to capture their love right in their element. Here are some of my favorite from their engagement. xo

Veronica + Estevan | Crestmore Manor Riverside Wedding

Lets throw it back to another wedding from last April shall we? I love weddings of any size, style but you already knew that! What some of you might not know is that Charro weddings hold a special place in this girl's heart. You see I come from a BIG Mexican family, full of culture and tradition... including the love and practice of its national sport Charreria. Now when Veronica and Estevan contacted me and told me that they were having a big Mexican wedding that embodied all the goodness of a Mexican Charro wedding I was on board! Their day was full of life, love and lots of laughter... the perfect day indeed. I was so excited to be a part of it. Here are some favorites from their day!

Briana + Bob | Calamigos Equestrian Burbank Wedding

So happy to be sharing Briana + Bob's big day today on the blog! Caitlin + Zach | Los Angeles Engagement

Happy Friday my loves! So for those who follow me on social media, you might remember that I decided to kick off 2016 with a giveaway! What better way to celebrate newly engaged couples over the holidays than with a chance to win a FREE engagement session done by yours truly :) The response was great, and with the help of  random picking curtesy of the husband we had 2 winners! This past month I had the opportunity to shoot these couples and let me tell you it was an amazing time. Which brings me today to share one of these sessions - Caitlin & Zach. Like any good (blind) date at Starbucks, we met and right off the bat just hit it off with these two. I mean seriously they are perfect for one another and just the sweetest couple to be around. We started to brainstorm ideas for their engagement and at the end decided to shoot around their Los Feliz/ Silverlake neighborhood, and let me tell you it was all kinds of good!

Ama + Apa | Bridgeport, Texas

Happy New Year's everyone! One of my biggest goals for 2016 is to actually blog more and what better way to start of the year than blogging these images of the most amazing people I know -- you guessed it, my mom + dad! I was able to spend some time back in Texas this past week. (yay!) On New Year's morning, my dad invited me and my mom to go out riding in the ranch... of course being the annoying daughter with the fancy camera I decided to bring it along and actually snap a couple of them :) Here are some of my favorite - I feel that these capture exactly who they are and after so many years together you can see how much they love each other. Im blessed to have such an amazing example of what marriage is all about.. in the good and the bad that life sends... just roll with the punches TOGETHER, talk about #RelationshipGoals

My mom has been sick for a couple of years now, we thank our lucky stars for her health and the fact that she still has the energy to deal with all our craziness. No one has been more supportive or had taken care of her better than my dad. This is them, no setup - just them. Los Viejitos and yes any chance for my dad to joke around and make everyone laugh is a given around here.

I love this one, especially with their dogs around... these two would follow them anywhere!

Karen + Nellone | Joshua Tree Sunrise Engagement

Part 2 of Karen & Nellone’s engagement took us to one of my favorite places ever… Joshua Tree!! When we were talking of location options and Joshua Tree National Park came up I knew this would be amazing, and they absolutely did not disappoint! We decided to shoot at Joshua Tree at sunrise! To say Karen was a trooper would be an understatement -  December desert sunrises are a bit cold! lol (hello 30 degree weather). Karen + Nellone | Downtown Los Angeles Engagement

It took me a year to blog this engagement session... yes people a year!! But no time like the present... to date Karen and Nellone's engagement session(s) are some of my favorite! They got married this past August in New York, however for their sessions they decided to shoot in Downtown Los Angeles (where they now reside) and Joshua Tree National Park - Part 2 of their session coming on the next post. Diana | San Diego Lifestyle Session

Summer has come and gone -- now October means playoffs and World Series. Yes Im talking about Baseball! I love this sport and honestly don't know any other girl that loves it more than I do than my dearest friend Diana. My Texas sista as my family has 'adopted' not only loves baseball but actually made it her personal goal to visit all 30 MLB stadiums across the USA (and Canada!) prior to her turning 30!! So when you get a random text saying she will be in town this summer to do the California portion of her trip, you jump right into joining her fun (crazy) adventure.  We drove down to San Diego for stadium visit 11 - prior to the game, we had time to roam the streets of downtown, here are just a few from the day. Of course it just happened that the Rangers were also in town for the game :)

Adriana + Jeff | Castaway Burbank Wedding

Last week Adriana & Jeff's awesome engagement session was featured... this week I'm bring you their lovely wedding! When planning their wedding Adriana knew that LA would be the place they would wed, however after searching they decided to marry in their hometown of Burbank. Fun fact -- Adriana & Jeff grew up less than 3 miles away... who knew that it would take moving to another state to find each other and come back and get married in their hometown :) Here are just some of my favorite images from their big day, a special thanks to their wedding planner Veronica from Events by Veronica who coordinated the day.

Adriana + Jeff | Portland Engagement

Happy Friday my loves! Last last year I featured this engagement session in my old blog, however with the transition to the new blog it got lost. I thought I would share this engagement session once again, its still one of my favorite engagement sessions I have been honored to capture!

Adriana and Jeff are both native to Los Angeles and worked for the same company out here, however it was not till their job took them out to Portland that their love story began... what better place to capture their engagement in the city that they fell in love in! Here are just some of my favorite from such an awesome trip up there. Stay tune their wedding is coming up next week!! xo

We started their engagement session visiting some of their favorite hiking trails and waterfalls just outside of Portland.

Later that evening we strolled around the streets of Portland... So in love with this place :)

New Site! | Life Lately...

Where did August go?! Its the last day of the month and cannot believe how fast this month has blown by. As you might had seen on Instagram/ Facebook a few weeks ago I got myself a brand new (super awesome) website up... oh yea and that tiny little thing happen... I QUIT my job to pursue photography 100% (hollllaaa!!!) For those who have commented, emailed, texted me your support and have been through all my mental breakdowns...GUYS I THANK YOU!!

The number one question I get now is "how does it feel" If Im honest with myself and the 2.5 people out there reading this...this month has been the most terrifying YET exciting one. Going from waking up at 4:15am mon-fri, commuting a minimum of 3 hours daily and still come home make dinner and edit/ answer emails till midnight on most night can take its toll. Luckily I have an AMAZING support system around me and the time came for me to purse my dreams and real passion. Im so excited to see what god and the future has in toll for me... If someone would had told me this 2 years ago, even just last year I would have laughed (and cried) because it just sounds too good to be true. Not going to lie, its still all an adjustment... I tell myself to take it day by day, and make shit happen! #GIRLBOSS There is so much I will be sharing...so stay tuned!

So now on to that new site... guys have you seen it? Im so in love with it and this blog!! Of course months ago when I used to daydream about my business and what I wanted it to look like I started to do my research and every time it lead me back to Promise and the rest of the girls at Go Live HQ. When I knew I was ready to take my business to the next level I decided to sign up for their 2 day workshop... what better way to kick off the month!
